A Christmas with the Greiners

Christmas is almost here! My family and I always start out the holidays by putting our lights up outside and then the decorations in the house. We wait to get our tree, Usually around the 15th, because its a tradition to have a real tree. We start our shopping late as well, mostly in fear of someone accidentally finding their gift. The night before Christmas, at the Christmas Eve service in church, I always play my saxophone at church for special music. This year I'm doing the song "Mary, Did You Know?".  Most of my family comes to church one day out of the year, and that day is Christmas Eve. Afterwards, we say goodbye and go back to our homes, and fall asleep, waiting for tomorrow morning to arrive.

When morning arrives, my sister and I are always the first ones up, so we go to wake our dad up. My dad makes us a special breakfast of our choice, usually palachenta, and then we all help make it together. After breakfast, we put in a christmas movie and then start handing out presents to everybody. We all take turns opening one by one. After were done opening our presents, we get dressed and go out to our Aunt Denise's house where we spend the rest of our day with our family. There is always a special dinner prepared and we usually eat around 3:00 in the afternoon so we can watch the football game. Me and my sister, however, always end up hanging out with our cousin Jake or Tylar. The thing I look forward to most this Christmas is seeing my family, after all I only see them a few times a year.
