Social Bookmarking is when you save your favorite sites to a website on which you can share these sites that you have saved with other people. To "bookmark" something online is to save it, similair to to bookmarking a page when your reading a book and save the page you have stopped at. The social part is because you can share what you have bookmarked with other people, and you can also see what they have bookmarked. The biggest difference between social bookmarking and saving that website as a favorite on your computer is that you can access the sites you have bookmarked from any computer that has internet, And so can other people.
